By Christine Warren When our founding fathers wrote the United States Constitution in 1787, how could they have ever known the depths of the dangers that our country could or would face by our own government? How could they have known the degree of deceit, lies, and corruption that our elected officials would engage in for the pursuit of power, money, and control? How could they have known the level of importance of dividing the government’s power into three separate branches with checks and balances? The Founding Fathers knew all this because they encountered some wicked men whom they fought against for their own freedoms and independence.
